Intro of sorts.
The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything.
- Atisha

A wise man may have said that, but I'm not wise enough to believe it yet.

The greatest medicine for my leg has been my team and my sister. Thank you for visiting me while I was in the hospital, it was better than medicine or doctors.

I have decided to start a journal as encouraged by Shinji and Kamio. I look forward to their responses and also getting to know them better. I usually only use my computer for tennis news and to read the on-line edition of the Monthly Pro magazine, so I am not exactly computer literate. It would be most helpful if someone could stop over and make sure I'm doing this all right.

I hope Kamio, Shinji and Ann have used their journals in a manner befitting Fudoumine. I will be checking up periodically to make sure you all are doing okay.

The courts have gotten greener since I have been in the hospital. I know it's wrong of me to think so, but after the pure white of the hospital other than the flowers from the team the courts are brighter. I am pleased how well the team has kept them looking, not that I didn't have confidence in the club to do so.

[How is your injury? Do you need to head for a check-up this week? ]

[ I'm still not playing on the courts, but I have been using the hand weights to improve my grip strength. I will shake this depression of not being able to actually play soon. I have to. ]

That's alright, I'm fine... and I'm sure my leg is fine -- it wasn't a terribly serious injury anyway, i just managed to work through the pain and everything is well... so I don't think I'll need to go to the doctor anymore.

I do not want to hear anyone on our team working through an injury that could affect their game permanently. Has my time off the courts been so long as to stop you from talking to me as your captain?
